Travel & Stay

A few practical notes as you make your plans.

Lodging
We're not reserving a room block — please book what works best for you. Most guests will find Brooklyn or nearby Manhattan easiest. Anywhere with quick subway or ride-share access to Fort Greene works well.
Airbnb
Short-term rentals are technically restricted in New York City and bookings can occasionally be cancelled on short notice. If you go this route, please have a backup in mind — and consider booking a hotel as your primary plan if you'd rather not roll the dice.
Subway
G to Clinton-Washington Avs (3-min walk) · C to Lafayette Av (5-min walk) · B, Q, R, 2, 3, 4, 5 to Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr or DeKalb Av (10-min walk)
Trip planning: Google Maps
Ride-share
Uber and Lyft are reliable across the area. Allow extra time on a Saturday evening.
Airports
LGA, JFK, and EWR all serve Brooklyn well. From any of them, allow about an hour to Fort Greene by car or transit.

A more formal invitation with full details is on its way — this is just so you can start planning.
